Meet the Trainers

Jeanne Carter has been working in the fitness industry for over 13 years. She is an AFAA certified personal trainer, ACE certified group fitness instructor, Les MillsBody Training System certified in Step and Bodypump, as well as being certified in Group Power. Jeanne teaches kickbox, step, Bodypump, boot camp, spin, dance, strength and cardiovascular training. Along with Julie Bokat, Jeanne is co-owner of Fuel Training Studio. Jeanne also holds a degree in business, and has a 15 year background in ballet. She regularly attends training and professional development workshops and lectures on innovative fitness industry developments.

Julie Bokat has been teaching fitness classes since 2006. She is an AFAA certified personal trainer as well as an AFFA certified spin instructor. Julie formerly taught spin and boot camp at The Fitness Factory in Newburyport. Along with Jeanne Carter, Julie is the co-owner of Fuel Training Studio. She teaches spin, boot camp, strength and cardiovascular training. In addition, she is a visual artist and holds a Masters of Fine Arts degree in Painting from the University of Pennsylvania. She has been teaching painting and drawing to high school and college students since 1993 at various colleges, currently at Massachusetts College of Art and Design.

Personal Training: Individual and Small-Group

Personal training is a supportive process where a client and trainer work together on a regular basis to establish and achieve fitness goals.

Your first session will include a physical assessment. This includes determining resting heart rate, calculating body fat percentage and taking measurements. We will also get a baseline assessment of muscular endurance and strength, as well as a cardiovascular fitness and flexibility. All this information will give a baseline in order to track your increased fitness level once you're individualized program is under way. This program can cover strength and cardiovascular training, flexibility and agility.

Individual Training

In response to your goals and your preference for one-on-one training, we offer one-hour sessions that can take place in the training studio and outdoors. Julie and Jeanne work to match you with the trainer who you feel is best suited to work with you.

Small Group Training

Bring a good friend or two, significant other or spouse. We train groups of friends and colleagues who can continue to support each other in establishing a sustainable and challenging fitness routine.
